History
Founded in 1852, ASCE is the nation’s oldest national civil engineering society. Boasting over 160,000 members worldwide in more than 177 countries, ASCE is at the forefront of the civil engineering profession. As a member of ASCE, you are part of a group at the forefront of a profession that plans, designs, constructs, and operates society’s built environment while protecting and restoring the natural environment.
The Redwood Empire Branch functions within the San Francisco Branch to service the communities of Lake County, Mendocino County, Napa County, and Sonoma County. Founded in 1958, the Redwood Empire Branch holds monthly events to further professional enrichment and knowledge. The branch also has an active Younger Member Forum with monthly events to promote networking and social connections among local young professionals.
